Yet another Vision get together....
Some really good worshipping, even trying one song twice in different tempos!
Our table challenge was to update the "Good Samaritan" parable... Some interesting versions came up!
-Upsy daisy being bullied by the Teletubbies, with Fireman Sam and Postman Pat driving past before Mr Grumpy broke with tradition and was nice because she was in need!
-An Arsenal supporter fallen over by the stiles at the end of match, Arson Wenger and Theo Walcott walk past until the Man U goalie Van Der Sar picks her up and walks her to the First aid post.
-A Billingher walking to Sleaford is set upon in Anwick and left in a dyke. A Parish councillor and the Co-op manager walk past until a North Kymer stops to ring the ambulance offering comfort until it arrives.
It certainly made us all think about the parable in more depth!
Thank you so much to Chris and Su who told us of their experiences as Street Pastors. We watched this video on the Aberdeen SPs telling us what's it's all about, then two volunteers got to dress up in the gear as well as carrying in their pockets... FLIP-FLOPS!! well ladies a little worse for wear will be tempted to throw off their stilletos... and walking barefoot in a busy city centre can mean nasty injuries and visits to casualty... hence the flip flops! Amazing hey, how simple things can make such an impact!

A positive service about how we can better serve God by serving our communities and the needs of our communities...

The talk on Street Pasrors had an obvious impact as they enacted possible scenarios later on after we had tidied up... Watch this space... these are the Street Pastors of tomorrow! It won't be that long before they hit the minimum age of 18.

See y'all at the next Vision Music on the 31st May!
