Another really enjoyable worship get together. We enjoyed an interesting story by Trevor Dennis, and spoke of coming to God in complete trust as that of a child jumping into his father's arms. We learnt to trust others with a falling back and being caught exercise (children were more trusting than adults and had less inclination to buckle their knees before being caught!) or being led blinfolded around the room to find a chocolate treat: our congregation challenge. Some really rousing songs followed by tasty treats ended the worship, but there is always time for a chat and another drink as everyone helps to put things away.
We particularly welcomed two ladies from the Methodist chapel, who came to show their support and to know what we were about so they could focus their prayers for us. Malcolm also came (minus dog collar) to sit back and enjoy the experience.
I noticed Su snapping away with her camera.... so we may well have a few pictures soon.
We give thanks for such a positive meeting and that despite her slamming her fingers in the car door on the way in to help set up, Asha after some fist aid bravely got up and played her violin both in accompaniment and on a solo. The power of prayer and God's healing is ever present!
